Full Journal pdf2008-03-28 House Journal Page 2491 HJR 24 The following, which was advanced to third reading from the March 27, 2008, calendar (page 2474), was read the third time: 2008-03-28 House Journal Page 2492 HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 24 Opposing any law that would establish a federal insurance regulatory system. Representative Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent that HJR 24 be returned to second reading for the specific purpose of considering Amendment No. 1. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representatives Gruenberg and Coghill: Page 2, line 29, following "Act": Insert "; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED that the Alaska State Legislature opposes any attempt to weaken the current regulation of insurance by the State of Alaska" Representative Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Representative Lynn moved and asked unanimous consent that he be allowed to abstain from voting because of a conflict of interest. Objection was heard, and Representative Lynn was required to vote. The question being: "Shall HJR 24 am pass the House?"
